Writing my own page for this seems a little pretentious, potentially, but I hate being a 'stub'!

My persona is from the area now known as Estonia, during the pre-Christian era, prior to the 13th century.  Since the Maahravas (as they called themselves before being named the Eistlanders by the Vikings) generally cremated their dead, did not read or write, and left very few representations of humans, the reconstruction of what I might have worn, done, and believed has been an interesting challenge.

After attending my first event I knew immediately that I had 'come home', and started recruiting friends right away.  Previously, I had worked Renaissance Faire, and have always had a great deal of interest in ancient ways.  I am currently serving the Society as I can, providing largesse for various events (and a few prizes as well), and am also serving as the Chatelaine for the Barony of Dreiburgen.  I will gladly help you set up before or tear down after an event, call AAA for you, or do whatever else I can to make sure our game is still fun.

I have a bit of an obsession with learning to make things myself.  I carve stone, especially enjoying carving intaglio seals in semi-precious stones.  I make my own costumes, as well as those of my children.  I have begun brewing mead, and will soon sample my first batch.  I have also learned to cast pewter, make lampwork beads, make bows, and a number of other interesting things since joining the SCA.

I am a novice archer, and have started an archery club in mundane life at my middle school, where I teach math and science this year.  My college degree is in anthropology and archaeology.

Rekon tulema Kuresaare joined the SCA in the summer of 2007, after attending a St. Corrigan's Day event in Gallavally.

Persona

Rekon is from the area now known as Estonia, during the pre-Christian era, prior to the 13th century. Since the Maahravas (as they called themselves before being named the Eistlanders by the Vikings) generally cremated their dead, did not read or write, and left very few representations of humans, the reconstruction of what she might have worn, done, and believed has been an interesting challenge.

Template:Fix After attending my first event I knew immediately that I had 'come home', and started recruiting friends right away.
