Hi! - while updating canton/ college pages here, I came across the best explanation I've seen about the (almost total lack of) Caidan sumptuary laws about headgear - it is on the Darach site, at http://www.darachshire.org/faqs.cfm?faq=circlets  It looks like a good thing to include here.  I presume one should ask Eilidh Swann, the writer, and Darach, the hoster, about linking to it - or do you want to see if it could be copied here?  I'm not sure how you are handling good stuff like that.  If you link to it, it might go away... and this counter-acts some of the out-Kingdom customs I've seen listed as Caidan customs that sometimes comes out of the chatelaine's office.  By the way, I tried to edit the discussion tab, but it wouldn't let me. --EowynA 10:17, 9 May 2008 (PDT)
Eek! I typed in lots of stuff for "Winter Weekend 1990", and discovered that the page was titled "Winter Weekend".  So I oh-so-cleverly took the content of the "Winter Weekend" page and put it into "Winter Weekend 1990", but then I not-so-cleverly failed to save it. Then I rewrote "Winter Weekend", the general entry, and saved it.

Where should we create and maintain a list of the Bards of Caid, and then the territorial Bards and their history? --Eilidh Swann 17:46, 11 June 2008 (PDT)
Is it possible to retrieve the original contents of the "Winter Weekend" page, and put it into the "Winter Weekend 1990" page?  I feel like if I mess with it further, it will get more and more lost.

I have no idea how to actually start a new page (for the Bard of Caid)... do I have those kind of security rights? I can see what the template code is, but I don't seem to have the wiki link for "create a new page" around anywhere.
I just checked and the original contents are still there. Click the history tab and look at the first version. Hope that helps. --James the Inconstant 17:06, 10 September 2009 (PDT)

I'd use whatever you're doing for Champions --> it's a lot like the QC Rapier Champion, etc., but just a one-year term instead of a reign... which would make it like the Caidan Rapier Open Champion.
Got it into the right place -- thanks! --EowynA 17:20, 10 September 2009 (PDT)

I also don't know how to create the circle article. If you port it in, I'll look and see how you did it, for future articles. --Eilidh Swann 18:08, 12 June 2008 (PDT)

So, how would you do the Territorial Bards? All on one page? As a list somewhere? Off the geographical branches? I know there's the Sherwood Bard for Angels, the Lyon Bard for Lyondemere, a brand new Darachshire Bard, a Bard of Dun Or, a brand new Bard of Altavia, and a Bard of Gyldenholt, so far.--Eilidh Swann 18:17, 12 June 2008 (PDT)
I have a gif of Morgan's arms on my website at http://www.lookingbackwards.net/images/Morgan_Tryggvisson.gif; if it is usable for the CC page, please feel free to take it; likewise with any of the others for the Darkwell pages at http://www.lookingbackwards.net/amberwood/awards.htm or the House Amberwood pages at http://www.lookingbackwards.net/amberwood/index.htm

* How do I provide a link to the asset page for a graphic? I don't want to show the graphic itself on the page, just a link to where one can see all the details, without treating that page as an "external" hyperlink. For example, http://wiki.caid-commons.org/index.php/Image:Silvercrescent.gif --Lachlan 11:33, 18 June 2008 (PDT)
