Fiachra an Doire is a member of the Barony of Dun Or. He brought the Forestry Guild to Caid, and serves as its Warden. He dabbles in many arts and sciences, but is most active in forestry and foraging, period survival skills, natural dye, and pigment, paint, and ink making.

Fiachra was born near the end of the 9th century, in a small village outside of the Norse longphort of Dublin. It was just on fringe of the Norse settlements, and small enough that it wasn't worth raiding. His mother was the daughter of a Norse farmer, and his father was native Irish.
 
When his father was a child, and the Norse Vikings began launching inland raids, his grandfather had taken his family and fled into the nearby forest to avoid being killed, ransomed, or taken as slaves. When the Irish kings and the Danish Vikings attacked Dublin, his father did the same with his family- they fled into the forest. One of Fiachra's earliest memories is hearing the sounds of battle in the distance, but knowing he was safe with his family in the deep woods, where only the truly brave, or truly desperate dared to venture. When the Vikings were rousted from Dublin in 902, Fiachra's family returned to their village.
 
In 918, the Norse retook Dublin, and Fiachra disappeared into the woods once more, relying on the skills he learned from his father. When it became apparent that the Norse were using Dublin as a trade port and not a raiding base, Fiachra ventured into town a quickly established trading relationships with several merchants, utilizing his knowledge of the woods, his plant identification and foraging skills, and his knowledge of dyes and pigments to put coin in his pocket and food in his stomach.

Fiachra an Doire is a member of the Barony of Dun Or. He brought the Forestry Guild to Caid, and serves as its Warden. He dabbles in many arts and sciences, but is most active in forestry and foraging, period survival skills, natural dye, and pigment, paint, and ink making.
