*I see where you are coming from. There are a lot of knights that didn't squire either (or have squires of their own). I just happened to see [http://www.avigne.org/sca/ws/A/Arabella.shtml Arabella's outlands white scarf page] and went "whoa!" the scarves should do a tree too... But you know your community best. --[[User:Kottr|Kolfinna]] 10:25, 15 April 2009 (PDT)

**I guess I'm not seeing the difference between students and cadets. Early in Caid's history, Knight's didn't take squires they took students or had "formal teaching arrangements" and yet they are counting those students as part of their lineage. According to your wiki page you have Raphael ben Gideon, Diego Antonio Vega de Palma, Wolferam Zenthpyr, and Mora Ottavia Spadera as students. Why wouldn't they be in your lineage? I'm just not seeing the difference, I apologize for being dense. Cheers --[[User:Kottr|Kolfinna]] 15:40, 16 April 2009 (PDT)

Put the credit for the photo on the actual photo, not the page. For example, you put Courtesy of Kolfinna on the Alexander Kallidokos page, however if someone else uses that photo elsewhere in the site, the name won't get attached. Instead put the credit on the actual picture page Image:AlexK Darach08.jpg, something along the lines of "photo by Kolfinna kottr, that way the credit always resides with that one photo. --Kolfinna 20:11, 17 June 2008 (PDT)

  • Ah, got it. So it doesn't need to be then also under the photo on the page in which is is displayed, too?Capnlot
    • Nope. The photocaption is meant to describe who is in the picture, where the picture came from. I.e. for Alexander's its Alexander at Darach Anniversary 2008. A picture where one person is the main focus, with people in the background might be Sponge Bob at Coronation. In the background is Patrick. Or a large group picture might be, the Viking Warband. --Kolfinna 20:20, 17 June 2008 (PDT)

Action photos for fencers?

Hi, Capn Lot. Check out the chivalry pages on the wiki. Kolfinna has been importing these from the Chivalry of Caid webpage. There are typically two photos of each knight or master, one "headshot" plus one "action shot". I think they're really cool and think that the White Scarves and other fencers could benefit from similar treatment. If you're looking for something to do and have the time and resources to undertake adding photos, please feel free.--Lachlan 09:01, 11 November 2008 (PST)

White Scarf Tree

Lot, I'm working on a Chivalry Tree for Knights/Squires/Man-at-arms, and was thinking that something like that for White Scarves/Students would be awesome. Just a thought. --Kolfinna 14:39, 14 April 2009 (PDT)
