Timothy was born and raised in the Aran isles in the town of Inishmore, off the west coast of Ireland in 1559. As the son of a fisherman, he expected to follow in the family business. In 1577, he was pressed into service by a Spanish galleon, where he would spend the next several years traveling the Seven Seas seeing the world. As luck would have it, he happened to meet with the Captain of a Dutch ship called the Gulden Otter, where he jumped ship from the Spanish and joined with the Sea Beggars in an effort to seek his revenge against the Spanish for stealing away the life he expected to live. During his time away from Ireland, he learned the art of defense from many different masters, and was able to prove himself a capable and efficient swordsman and Sailor. <br>
 
In one of his first raids as a member of the Sea Beggar’s, the crew happened upon a Spanish Galleon that was rumored to be carrying a Spanish Princess. When the crew raided the ship, they discovered that the “Princess” was a Spanish Great Pyrenees named Princess Margaret Elizabeth Hapsburg, who took an immediate liking to Timothy. He continues to care for her to this day as his faithful companion and loving friend.
