War of the Roses II The Canton of Mons Draconis Anniversary
May 3, 2003
Are you a supporter for the House of York or the House of Lancasters? Are you a white rose or a red rose? Take sides and come to the War of the Roses II - Canton of Mons Draconis Anniversary May 3, 2003. We are planning a full day of events to include the ever-popular Heavy Bear Pit, Heavy Rose Melee, Period Fence Bear Pit and Period Fence Rose Melee.
Not to be outdone, The Arts & Science portion of the event will have the following competition: Best presentation of a rose in ribbon embroidery, Best heraldic scroll using calligraphy and illumination, and Best example of practical period woolen art (knitting, spinning, weaving, etc.).
All entries should include a 4X6 card of basic documentation: Description of item, Material used.
For period documentation, just give the name of the book, the author and the page number where you found the information. Please, no Internet documentation unless unless it is a pdf or a html file of a book or journal article.
Event Site: Hunt Park, 4015 Jackson Street, Riverside, CA 92504. This is a dry site. Regretfully, no merchants.
