Queen's Champion Equestrian Tourney

The date for Queen's Equestrian Champion has changed to Sunday, June 13.

The day’s events will consist of 4 mounted challenges including tilting at the quintain, pig sticking, rings, and beheading the enemy. Additional contest will include best introduction of rider and mount to the Queen, best list shield, and best barding.

Volunteers will be greatly appreciated! Help is needed in many areas: Equestrian marshals, heralds, ground crew, score-keepers, and list persons. No experience is necessary!

Memories

From Malcolm Alberic

What I remembered most from this event was when I returned from my trail ride Robynne came running over to tell me that I was in the finals and they were waiting for me! All I could say was “How can that be? I never practice and I’m riding an old rental horse with bone spurs on his legs!” It was a good day.
