The Lyondemere Baronial pavilion is the Barony's home at tournament events, and its Great Hall at wars and camping events. It's a place to sit with fellow Lyondemarines, and a place to leave your things as you go about the day's business. Everyone who participates with the Barony is welcome to stay there during the day.

The Baronial Pavilion does not travel to every event on the calendar, but the Baron and Baroness regularly announce their Progress at Council meetings and in the Tydes, so the members of the Barony know where they and the Baronial Pavilion will be present. Other members of their court may make arrangements to take the Baronial Pavilion to events if the Baron and Baroness cannot attend, but a significant number of Barony's members will be present.

If you can arrive early enough, we deeply appreciate help carrying things from the trailer to the eric and setting the pavilion up, and also help at the end of the day, taking things down and repacking the trailer.

Bring your own chair to sit in. If it's a very modern-looking chair, bring a throw or your cloak to cover it. The Barony tends to operate on a "festival seating" principle: there are extra chairs for visitors, people come and go all day long, and we tend to sit in whatever chair is convenient (saving the Baronial thrones, of course). Should you return to the pavilion to find someone sitting in your chair, it is not improper to politely ask them to move (unless it's visiting Royalty).

Bring something to eat and drink. The Barony sets up a snack table and has water available for everyone, but you will probably want something more substantial for lunch. Sometimes lunch can be purchased at the event, but not usually. We appreciate contributions to the snack table.

Try to keep your things corralled. At very popular events, the pavilion can become crowded. Confining your belongings to baskets or boxes near your chair helps keep the pavilion navigable. You can store modern containers and ice chests under the table, or bring a throw to cover them.

There is a trash can in the pavilion, usually at one end of the snack table.

Feel free to welcome people into the pavilion and offer them hospitality.

You are not obligated to stay in the Baronial pavilion, of course. Many couples and households have their own pavilions. Even if you are not staying in the Baronial pavilion, we hope you will stop in to visit with us.

At wars and camping events, we set up more tables in the pavilion, and use it for communal dining and as a gathering place during the days and evenings. Even if you are not on the Baronial meal plan, we welcome you to bring your dinner to the pavilion and eat together with us. After dinner, there is generally conversation, music and s'mores[1] toasted over the Heater of Deathtm..
