Directions to the event:

Directions to Site: Take your best route to Highway 101, head towards Santa Barbara. Take the State Street, Highway 154 exit. Head towards the mountains and Follow it over the hill and back down into the valley. You will-] be almost to the bottom of the grade when you will turn right. It is easy to miss the entrance and have to circle around. As soon as you see the greens for Rancho San Marcos Golf Course to your right, SLOW DOWN. The camp shares its entrance off Highway 754 with Rancho San Marcos Golf Course. Take a left once you've passed through that entryway.

Event description:

Once again the Shire of Carreg Wen will be hosting the King's Hunt. Come join us in the morning tracking down wild "animals" and an afternoon of tournaments. Saturday morning will be the hunt. The hunting party is made up of a “hunter" carrying a spear and 2 "dogs" which carry a single-handed weapon. The "animals" may fight with any weapons. The prize goes to the hunting team that slays the most "animals". Also in the morning, rapier fighters will have a Blood of Heroes event to entertain them. In the afternoon, there will be both heavy and rapier lists. Numerous Archery shoots will also be held on Saturday. Sunday morning breakfast will be provided for all. Children's activities begin at 10 on Saturday and continue throughout the day. I am working on trying to arrange for EQUESTRIAN events as the site is designed with Equestrian events in mind.
