Gallavally Anniversary
April 29 2000

Good gentles all, it is once again time to celebrate the anniversary of the Canton of Gallavally. There will be rapier and heavy lists to determine the champions of our fine Canton, The tournaments will be a little different this year. The first tourney is to be a single-elimination, wounds-retained, destructive-byes, double-kills-count-as a loss-for-both-“Oh-my-goodness-this-is-gonna-be-quick-as-heck” Tourney.

The Second is going to be a 45 minute Iron-man Bear-pit Tourney. Points will be awarded and the victor shall be the combatant with the most points from both tournaments. The ladies shall be asked to award one fighter each from the heavy and rapier fields as “most gallant.”

The arts and sciences rheme is “What can you throw together in an afternoon,” and there shall also be a special ON-SITE bardic competition. There will be a bag with “unique” period phrases contained therein; each competitor taking one. Insert this phrase into your bardic, and let the battle begin!
