Dreiburgen Yule has undergone a dramatic shift, but it is still happening. Join us for an open air potluck picnic in the park. Dreiburgen will provide the roast meat (beef and chicken); all other foods are potluck.
Activities:
- 1. Making and hanging decorations
- 2. Piñata(don't laugh, they're period)
- 3. Bardic Invitational (alongside the Bard of Dreiburgen competition)
- 4. Mummers Play
- 5. Hunker Hauser & other games
- 6. Feast (begins at 1pm because we have to be off site by dark)
Dreiburgen will still be hosting their traditional Toys for Tots challenge. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to children in need.
Site Fee: Donational, but you do have to pay to get into the park ($6 per adult & $3 per child). We ask all attendees to bring a dish that can serve at least 6 people and an ingredients list (see the top pinned post for the link to the sign-up form).
Site Location: Rancho Jurupa Park, in the small ramada under the trees back by the lake.
- Site Opens: 9:00am, December 5, 2015
- Site Closes: Sunset, December 5, 2015
Directions: From Hwy 60, East or West, take the Rubidoux Blvd Exit and go South about 0.6 miles, and turn Left on Mission Blvd. Go 0.7 miles and turn right on Crestmore (just before crossing the Santa Ana River). Follow Crestmore to the right, a total of about 1.4 miles, and the park is on the Left. Once through the gate, keep to the right, around back. The very large area at the extreme SouthWest of the park is us. We are back under the trees.
From Hwy 91, either turn onto Hwy 60 West and follow the above, or exit on Mission Inn Blvd. and go West 1.9 miles through downtown Riverside and across the Santa Ana River, Turn left at the first light across the river which is Crestmore then from Crestmore see above.
