Dreiburgen Yule December 15, 2012 Come join the Barony of Dreiburgen for an evening of fun and games as we enjoy the holiday season with our Yule Revel. Come join the Barony of Dreiburgen and celebrate Yule with us at the Yucaipa Masonic Center.
Our refreshments will include finger foods and holiday snacks in a buffet style. Fix up your favorite holiday snacks and bring them long to share with everyone. Contact Mistress Mary Dedwydd verch Gwallter and let her know what you would like to bring so we can have an idea how to arrange things. We will be having a floating gathering not a sit-down style feast so no feast gear is needed except for your goblets and tasting cups. Dessert items will be especially appreciated. There will be an ornament exchange. Bring an ornament to adorn our Christmas tree and you will bring home a new one for your own tree!
There will be a variety of entertainments including dancing, music, games and baubling. Please bring games with you and share them with your friends new and old.
Master Gulliver Blackrune will be running a Baubling table for those eager to risk their trinkets and treasures. Other game related contests will be announced at the event. If you are interested in hosting a game related contest, feel free to contact Master Gulliver.
Music is always appreciated. If you have recorded music that puts you in a holiday mood, bring it along. If you would like to entertain us with your own music, please bring your instruments along and contact Master Gulliver beforehand.
There will be a competition for the Bard of Dreiburgen. So bring your favorite story or bit of music or song and share it with the populous! Master Donal O’Brian will be providing light libations for your sampling pleasure. The site is Dampish. Snacks and drinks will be laid out at intervals throughout the evening.
Their Excellencies Bryce and Fionna ask that those who wish to make presentations instead bring toys to be donated to the Toy for Tots collection boxes
Site: Yucaipa Masonic Center. 13669 California St. Yucaipa, CA 92399 Site fee: $5 for members. ($5 surcharge for non-members) Children under 12 will be the guests of the barony. Site opens at 4pm and closes at 11 pm. Directions: Take your favorite freeway to the 10 freeway in Calimasa, Riverside. Exit at #87, County Line Rd, going East. Turn left on California St. The Hall is on the right, very close to County Line Rd.
