Dreiburgen Anniversary
Please join The Barony of Dreiburgen on October 27 and 28th, to celebrate our Anniversary. The site will be at the beautiful Bogart Park, located 4.5 miles north of Beaumont at the north end of Cherry Valley. The theme will be Samhain Eve, the traditional celebration of the Celtic New Year eve, and of ourse our modern All Hallow’s Eve.
In proper celebration we will be having a masked ball and revel on Saturday night. Our day-time event will feature a tournament for both heavies, lights/rapier & boffers. For the heavies we are planning a single elimination combat, "un-dead" melee, and a double elimination tourney with a special "Bye" auction for fighters beforehand. Lights fighters who are interested in attending need to contact Lady Mary in advance so we can stt aside eric space and plan for marshals.
In addition a NIGHT HUNT is being planned. Fighting will be proceeded by the traditional helm auction. Day long arts events include a mask making competition, bardic in the theme of the day, turnip carving competition, scriptorium/calligraphy competition (including kids categories), and a children's quest
Schedule for the day
- 8:00 am - site opens
- 9:00 am - lists open
- 10:00 am - opening court (lists close 10 minutes after the end of court)
- 5:00 pm - closing court
- 6:00 pm - more events after dark for interested parties including a Masked Ball and a Night Hunt:)
