King Ivan informed Lady Lynette de Sandoval del Valle de los Unicornios of her elevation to the Order [of the Pelican] at Crown Tourney, April 8. She brought the Crown List to His Pavilion per usual; he approved the List and then said, "Now that this is set, I have a question for you to ponder. [Lady Lynette tensed] The Pelicans inform me that they are short one member and wonder if you will join their Order..." Lady Lynnette paled visibly and swayed on her knees! Fortunately, there were several Pelicans simply hanging around who caught her before she toppled! After several deep and agitated breatsh she was able to choke out that she would indeed accept the elevation. The King then raised her and she turned to receive her hugs and congratulations from about 15 Pelicans who just happened by at the time. I presented her "Welcome" package.
