Sir Athanaric Thaurismunths sunus, also known as Athanaric Thorismund Sunnus and Athanaric Tervingi. Athanaric has been in the SCA since 2000. He lives in the Barony of Starkhafn.

At Spring Crown Tourney, Sir Athanaric defeated Duke Edward Senestre and won the honor of becoming Caid's new Crown Prince for his lady, Sigrið inn Irski.

Persona

As a young Visigoth, Athanaric served in the Eastern Roman army as a cataphract. Before Belisarius and Narsus were dispatched by Emperor Justinian to retake the Western Empire, he defected to the Gothic Kingdom that had risen in its ashes. He became a cavalry officer for the Gothic kings.
