Graf Athanaric Thorismund Sunnus, also known as Athanaric Tervingi, and Athanaric of the Trevingi, has been in the SCA since 2000, and currently lives in the Barony of Starkhafn.

Persona
As a young Visigoth, Athanaric served in the Eastern Roman army as a cataphract. Before Belisarius and Narsus were dispatched by Emperor Justinian to retake the Western Empire, he defected to the Gothic Kingdom that had risen in its ashes. He became a cavalry officer for the Gothic kings.
