  • Interesting note about Bor/Bora. I'll see what I can do to help with that, or at least keep track of what happens with it with the heralds.
  • You asked about images.
  1. Do you see "Upload" under the "toolbox" section on the left?
  2. Click on that to go to the file upload screen where you can browse your local computer for files to upload one by one.
  3. Once successfully uploaded, the title of your file will be along the top like "File:My_pic.jpg". I always select that text and Ctrl-C
  4. Adding the image into a wiki article then involves pasting the file name into the page markup. For populace pages, the top section of markup is the definition of the right-hand info column for the article. Paste the filename into the first image name there and it should now appear in the info bar.
  5. If you want to add a bunch of images to a page, the best way might be to create a gallery in your markup. For an example of this, go to Morgaine of Avalon for an example.

More on Bor/Bora Unegin: The spelling "Bor" is correct according to the official registration. There is an explanation of the discrepancy on the October 2017 Letter of Acceptances and Returns from the SCA College of Heralds:

Bor Unegen. Name and device. Per pale sable and azure, two fox's heads couped addorsed argent. Originally submitted as Bor Unegen, the name was changed at Kingdom to Bora Unegen to match the documentation they could find. However, Bor appears as a name element meaning "gray" in "Mongolian Naming Practices" by Marta as tu Mika-Mysliwy (http://heraldry.sca.org/names/mongolian_names_marta.html). Therefore, we are able to restore the name to its original form.

If that isn't clear, the original form said "Bor". Doing their best, the kingdom heralds changed it to "Bora" before forwarding it. Luckily, the society heralds found documentation for the original spelling and fixed it. --Lachlan (talk) 10:10, 31 March 2022 (PDT)
