Syntax

<gallery caption="Sample gallery" widths="180px" heights="120px" perrow="3">
File:Wiki.png|Caption text.
[...]
</gallery>

The basic syntax is: 

<gallery>
Image:Caidarms colour.png
Image:Caidarms colour.png|Captioned
Image:Caidarms colour.png
Image:Caidarms colour.png|[[Caid|Links]] can be put in captions.
Image:Caidarms colour.png
Image:Caidarms colour.png|Full [[Help:Contents|MediaWiki]]<br />[[Help:Tags|syntax]] may now be used

Which produces:

Notice that there are no brackets except for links within captions. Captions are optional. Images are separated by new lines.
