Lady Dyrfinna Drengsdottir is currently the baroness of Gyldenholt. She is an active member of the Arts & Sciences community. She is particularly fond of the weirder side of history, namely digging into folklore, mythology, rituals and superstitions. She has participated in medieval gardening, herbalism and ritual, from creating 12th century cures to preforming a Finnish bear funeral rite. Dyrfinna loves to pass this knowledge along, teaching classes and encouraging everyone to grow more plants! On occasion she has been known to throw an axe or shoot an arrow or two. Dyrfinna is a founding member of the household The Tavern of Lost Souls.

Lady Dyrfinna Drengsdottir is an iron age Finnish lady from the Kainuu (Kvenland) region of what is now known as Finland. Her father Drengr was a trader who traveled the borders and coasts, often doing business with Vikings. It was in this way that she met her husband, Lord Brynjólfr Brandsson, who won her father’s favor with a keen deal, and a good tussle with the family house bear.
