Overview

Cooking and the study of cuisines in the SCA's period is one of the fundamental arts and sciences of the SCA. Various culinary activities include:

  • Preparing food for feasts, lunches, war camps, etc., including "Sotelties" (food disguised as other food or used as decorative, edible centrepiece)
  • Redacting period recipes and attempting to recreate period food.
  • Participating in various culinary competitions throughout the year, including:
