Event Staff
- Event Steward: Fia Naheed
- Feast Steward: Jamal Damien Marcus Responsible for finding head chefs for each meal. The head chef for each meal is given below.
- Thurs dinner - Baron Jamal Damien Marcus: Salad w/ dressing, bread & butter, Roast meat (Lamb and / or Chicken), braised spinach, potatoes, rice pudding.
- Fri breakfast - Baron Jamal Damien Marcus: Oatmeal, bacon, eggs, bread & butter, dried fruit, Orange juice
- Fri lunch - Baron Jamal Damien Marcus: Spaghetti noodles with 3 sauces on the side (meat, marinara, pesto), Toasted Garlic Bread.
- Fri dinner - Mistress Tetchubah of Greenlake - Bread & butter, cheese, Salad w/ dressing, meat stew, vegetable stew, probably at least one vegetable dish (leaning toward broccoli with cheese sauce but still debating) with a berry cobbler for dessert.
- Sat breakfast -Lesley Fitzpatrick - Featherbed eggs w/sausage (wo/ for the vegetarians), oatmeal, dried fruit, brown sugar, milk; orange juice, apple juice; mini bagels or croissants with butter, crème cheese, and jam, For the lactose intolerant folks will have some hard-boiled eggs available.
- Sat lunch - Lady Peregrine Rose Falconer - Little Italy Special - Meat ball & sausage hoagies, Will have veggie balls for the Vegetarians, Served with mozzarella & parmesan cheese on the side, salad w/dressing
- Sat dinner - Baron Jamal Damien Marcus: Salad w/ dressing, bread & butter, rib eye roast, mushrooms marsala, turnips au gratin, peas, bread pudding.
- Sun breakfast - Sir Robear du Bois and Mistress Kristin Alfhildr of Trondheim Baked French toast, chicken sausage, applesauce, oatmeal, and juice, and non dairy version of Baked French toast;
- Sun lunch - Lady Mora Gowe: Tilapia soup, (Tilapia, cabbage, celery, onions, and carrots, with a vegetable bullion base) For the vegetarians will omit the fish, Balsamic marinated pork tenderloin with lemon-honey sauce (will marinate portabella mushrooms for the Vegetarians), Salad with a Walnut oil, Sherry vinegar, Dijon mustard and shallot dressing, bread and butter.
- Sun dinner - Baron Jamal Damien Marcus: Salad w/ dressing, bread & butter, roast chicken, rice & wild mushrooms, yams & coconut milk, green beans w/almonds, Apple Crisp w/whipped cream.
- Tea all days - Cristobal and her crew

(From CP Oct 2007) The Barony of Calafia is again proud to host Winter Weekend 2008. This popular event will be held at the DeBenneville Pines Conference Center in the San Bernardino Mountains, 41750 W. Jenks Road, Angeles Oakes, CA Starting Thursday, January 17, 2008, 5 pm through Monday, January 21, 12 noon.
Since this site can only accommodate a limited number of persons, ALL ARE WELCOME but RESERVATIONS are required.
Each phone call may reserve only one room's worth of accommodations (1 - 4 people). Families with more children may reserve up to the number of the immediate family. Please, only one reservation per call. Reservation phone calls will be made to Fancena Sherburne (phone number provided).
Event Information
- Reservations for Winter Weekend 2008 will open Sunday October 13, 2007 @12 noon PDT.
- E-mail reservations will not be accepted.
- This event will be starting on Thursday.
- The cost for the four nights lodging and food is $105 per adult, $70 per child.
- If you arrive after Thursday, the cost is $85 per adult, $50 per child.
- Only after your reservation is confirmed, please make checks payable to- SCA Inc./ Barony of Calafia.
Memories
Baroness Amadea da Strada Dragonessa, who had been gone from Caid for many years, was visiting and came to Winter Weekend this year. It was great to see her again. --EowynA 14:29, 7 September 2009 (PDT)
