Tournaments are generally one day events.
Tournaments are generally one-day events.  They are core events for the [[SCA]] and usually involve competition in one or more combat forms such as [[Armored Combat]], [[Rapier]], [[Target Archery|Archery]], or others.  They may also involve [[Arts & Sciences|Arts]] competitions, and there are events devoted solely to Arts & Sciences.
 
There is usually an Opening [[Court]] and a Closing [[Court]] at a Tournament.  There are also events devoted to holding [[Court]] where more extensive or elaborate activities occur.
