Also called the SCA Birthday Song. It was originally created by Harald of Breakstone and Steven MacEanruig for Don Segundo Sombre de Muerte Christiano before the SCA was founded. It was introduced by James Greyhelm to Martin the Temperate and Robear du Bois who promptly added their unique touch. It went viral even before the internet was available as a vehicle to do so. One of the attractions is the open ended nature of the song, inviting people to write their own verses for it.

Mongolian Birthday Song

To the tune of Volga Boatman

Happy Birthday (Grunt)
Happy Birthday (Grunt)

Death, destruction and despair,
People dying everywhere
Happy Birthday (Grunt)
Happy Birthday (Grunt)

May the candles on your cake,
Burn like cities in your wake
Happy Birthday (Grunt)
Happy Birthday (Grunt)

Now that you're the age you are,
Your demise cannot be far
Happy Birthday (Grunt)
Happy Birthday (Grunt)

Make the women wail and weep,
Slay them all but spare the sheep
Happy Birthday (Grunt)
Happy Birthday (Grunt)
