Event Staff

From the Crown Prints

My lords and ladies, it is the year 1297 and the Scottish rebellions are beginning with The Wallace/Douglas Raid on Scone. They've had enough, and the Douglas and Wallace clans have amassed enough fighters to successfully raid the city of Scone, and thus, begin the first rebellion. Wear your colors & be proud! (plaids, clan tartans, etc.) Unbelted soldiers, this is your day to shine. On this day in Gyldenholt, we run one list, that of Unbelted Armored Combat. Knights are invited to help marshal, but they will not be fighting on the battlefield. Each lists entrant is also invited to present a work of his/her own medieval-style artwork, to be approved by a Lady of the Rose, for the purpose of earning an extra life in the lists. Fighters! Look lively!

Before arriving at the Lists table, please

  • 1) Be in garb
  • 2) Have your site token in hand
  • 3) Have in hand your extra life token given to you by a Lady of the Rose, if you have chosen to participate
  • 4) Have a valid fighter authorization card in hand.

Gate will open at 8:00am. Opening Court will begin at 10:00, or at their Majesties leisure. Site Closes at 6:00. There will be a scone-making contest judged by Baron Giles Hill. Other non-combat games and contests TBA. Camp stoves, braziers (using coal), and BBQs (propane or coal) are permitted. All flames must be 18" above the ground.
