The Golden Rose herald serves as the personal herald of the crown for the duration of the reign. Courtesy Herald maintains a list of heralds who may be chosen for this position.

Golden Rose was originally created as the officer in charge of writing ceremonies. The original Kingdom ceremonies were written by the first holder of this office, Bevin Fraser of Sterling. The title was later used to refer to the Keeper of the Order of Precedence, though currently Recorder Pursuivant is responsible for the OP.

The title refers to the golden roses in the arms of the Queen of Caid.
