Gallavally Anniversary
April 17, 2010
The Canton of Gallavally would like to invite the Entire Known World to join us in the celebration of our Anniversary.
We plan to gather at one of the beautiful parks in the city of Hemet, Weston Park. 700 E Florida Avenue, Hemet, CA 92543
Easiest route: take the 10 to Beaumont Avenue (CA Hwy 79). Turn right off the exit. This will take you up and over Lamb's Canyon. Turn left on the Ramona Expressway (signal) and then right on State Street (signal) and head into town. Turn left on Florida Avenue; about a half mile down turn left on Thompson (you'll see the park).
Activities will include:
- Double elimination armored combat and rapier tournaments,
- Peoples’ choice arts & sciences competition,
- White elephant raffle (donations gratefully accepted)
- Both armored and un-armored bouncy Jousting.
If you have not jousted on, or was a spectator of, bouncy ball jousting - you are in for a treat! This is something you must not miss!
Peoples’ choice arts & sciences competition - Bring your finished and unfinished projects! You never know what will catch the ‘peoples’ eye!
White elephant raffle – bring your donations to the next Baronial Council meeting, bring it to the event, give them to a friend to give to me… Just donate all that wonderful stuff you would love for someone else to enjoy! New items also accepted!
- Site opens - 8:00 am
- Opening Court 10:30 am – or at Their Excellencies pleasure
- Lists close 15 min after court
- Closing Court 5:00 pm
- Site closes 6:00 pm
Site fee Adult members, $3.00; Adult non-members $6.00 (includes $3 non-member surcharge) Children 12 – 17 $1.00; Children 11 and younger are free Please make checks out to SCA Inc./Canton of Gallavally.
