== Persona ==

Fonteius Equitius Tacitus was born around 2 BC. He was the youngest of three in a plebeian family. Fonteius’ father captained a ship in the navy, and his mother stayed home to raise the children.

Filled with wanderlust in his teens, he secreted away at 16 to make his fortune. He was recruited to a praetorian cohort to be an exploratore. In training, he was given the moniker Fonsicus. After 3 years of campaigning in Gaul, he was was reassigned to be a speculatore and given a challenging assignment - he was to embed himself in a warband in Briton for several years.

Fonsicus spent the next year learning the language from prisoners and barbarian slaves. He adopted the name "Cillian" from a prisoner, and set off for Britannia.

For the next 14 years Fonsicus lived among bands of Britons outside Londinium and Camelodunum, observing, learning, and feeding information back to the nearby garrisons. In the 14th year, Fonsicus encountered a warband not local to the area called the Horsemen of Judgement Keep. Though they had never met, new bonds were forged quickly and many of their customs seemed like second nature. Fonsicus now travels with or ahead of the Horsemen, scouting and watching -  ever vigilant.
