At length, her sire secured her release from Warwick but she was held at York because of the "Troubles" betwixt Stephen and the Empress Matilda. Whilst at York, she took up arms, delighting in sword/shield, mace and glave and was included in the Brotherhood of the Blade, much to her lady-mother's dismay.

Police Officer Scrolls (2018)
I was honoured to be asked to create the Royal Recognition of Excellence scrolls for the police officers who saved Sir Charles of Dublin from his burning home.

At Altavia's Council meeting, I was tasked to make each scroll individual but have all four be one set. The new Royal Canopy was the inspiration for the banner held by different retainers [I moved each from one position to another on the four scrolls so they'd all be alike but not the same.] A newspaper article had the Officers pictures and I used them to balance across from Caid's Populace badge so each scroll would be unique. The guidance and encouragement from Ariana verch Gwenllian [Principal Herald] Astrid skalphæna [Scribe Armarius] & Valeria Cabrielli [Court Scribe] was greatly appreciated along with other Good Gentles who helped, they deserve Thank Yous, too.

I used trim (purchased from Justina Marie of Burgundy ) down the front & a clasp at the neck.  Morgaine told me it kept her toasty-warm in the Irish Breezes.

As an Early Personae, I couldn't very well wear the beautiful masques that adorned my Baron & Baroness - BUT - I decided to use the Creative part of our SCA. My mask [any mundane painter would be jealous] had 3 tri-skel buttons on the front with an appropriate amount of chain maille dangling below the chin.  I was fortunate enough to win the Comedic Prize of Ink Gall donated by Griffin Dyeworks. I was having fun & ended up with a nifty prize.
