Dreiburgen Baronial Anniversary

Three weeks before Great Western III is the weekend of the 22-24th of October. This weekend will be a Camping event from noon Friday through Sunday afternoon. Plan on coming on Friday and staying through Sunday afternoon, enjoy the leisurely feeling of having no place to drive until Sunday. There will be plenty of fighting (with a possible war practice on Sunday), archery, arts & sciences, and a children's boffer tourney. Merchants are welcome. We will be serving a simple feast (by reservation) on Saturday evening which will be followed by a Bardic Circle. Pets on leash are welcome. Location is the Crossroads RenFaire site in Corona. Schedule of the Event

Friday the 22nd

  • 12:00 noon Site/troll opens

Saturday the 23rd

  • 8:00am Troll re-opens
  • 9:00am Competitions sign-ups begin
  • 5:00pm Competitions close
  • 6:00pm Feast served/Troll closes

Sunday the 24th

  • 8:00am Troll re-opens
  • 9:00am Archery and war practice
  • 6:00pm Site closes

The site fee is set at $3.50 for ages 12 and up. Under 12 free. FOUR CHALLENGE PRIZE TOURNAMENTS will be held in heavy, rapier, lights, (shinia) and archeryon Saturday.

Each Combatant will be asked to bring a period prize valued up to $10 to put into the prize basket for each Tournament entered.

THERE WILL BE A WAR PRACTICE ON SUNDAY THE 24TH

This could possibly be the last War Practice before GWWIII

FOUR CHALLENGE PRIZE TOURNAMENTS will be held.

Heavy, Rapier, Lights (shinai) and Archery on Saturday. Come, fight, shoot, challenge and prove yourself on the field of combat. These challenge matches will determine the Heavy, Rapier, Lights, and Archery Champions of Dreiburgen. Each combatant will be asked to bring a period prize valued up to $10 to put into the prize basket for each Tournament entered.

SIX ARTS & SCIENCES COMPETIONS will be held.

The Baronial Champion in A&S will be determined from these competitions. Entries can be in all 6 of the competitions. Each entrant is asked to bring a period prize valued up to $10 to put into the prize basket for each competition entered.

OVERALL THEME of all completions

Dreiburgen Home Companion: Items that would be listed in a book that would help in the medieval home.

  • BARON’S COMPETION. will be in Leather work.
  • BARONESS’ COMPETION. will be in the Scribal Arts.
  • MONS DRACONIS will be hosting the Brewing Arts.
  • GALLAVALLY will be hosting the Herbal Arts.
  • STEINSEE will be hosting the Herbal Arts.
  • SANCTI GERONOMI will sponsor a Research paper competition.
  • Children's Activities will include a boffer tournanent.

We will be serving a simple, filling FEAST of cheeses, bread bowls filled with hearty stew, and berry pies for your Saturday evening enjoyment. Those with allergies or special food needs should contact the autocrat. A Bardic Circle will follow the Feast.
