(Personal information removed) Upon the very day of Halloween, 31 October, XVI, the Barony of Dreiburgen invites everyone to gather in the Seventh Street Park in Yucaipa for Dreiburgen Anniversary.
A double-elimination list shall be held to determine the Dragonslayer of Gorgonoth and Champion of the Barony. Many contests shall be held during the day including:
- HERALDRY: Sponsored by Mster Hrorek Halfdane of Faulconwood
- PUMPKIN CARVING: Sponsored by the Baron. 50 cents fee for entry, please bring you own knives and we will provide the pumpkins.
- ARMOR IDENTIFICATION: Sponsored by Grimaud d'Asterisque Noir and Lord Rhyance ap Llewellyn
- BEST SONG ABOUT DREIBURGEN OR A DENIZEN THEREOF: Sponsored by Lady Angelina Nicollette
Schedule for the Day
- 9am Set up
- 10am Opening Court
- 11am Lists open
- 11:15 Field open for challenges
- Noon Lists begin
- 5pm Closing Court
- 7pm Hall opens/feast begins
- Midnight Clean-up
In the evening we will be holding a Potluck Feast and Masqued Revel. The Feast will be $5/person or $2/person if you bright a dish to feed your party and four other people. The Barony will provide bread, soup, beverages and dessert. The Dessert Revel alone will cost $1. In keeping with the theme of the day, there will be a contest for the Best Disguised Dish.
For the revel itself, we invite everyone to come in a masque costume such as your persona may have worn, as simple or elaborate as you wish. Contests held during the revel include:
- MOST BEAUTIFUL COSTUME: Sponsored by Lady Angelina Nicollette
- COSTUME MOST APPROPRIATE TO PERSONA: Sponsored by HRM Schirleah
- BEST SMALL'S COSTUME: Sponsored by the children of House Rosedale
- BEST DECORATED CLOVED LEMON: Sponsored by Morgana of the Shadowed Keep
The hall is wet, but the management requires that we NOT bring our own. They will provide a bartender and assures us that the prices are reasonable.
