The Barony of Calafia invites you to our anniversary celebration and the investiture of Reeve and Reevess Oliver and Kate Dogberry as new Baron and Baroness. This is a chance to honor our wonderful history with the outgoing Baron and Baroness and celebrate with the new incoming Excellencies.
This is a 2 day camping event. For Eric reservations please email the event steward.
On Saturday, there will be standard fighting for all forms. At 1pm there is a complimentary luncheon for the populous at The Household of the Blackened Pot in celebration of their 20th Anniversary.
Children’s activities are schedule for Saturday.
There will be a Thrown Weapons Range both days where you can throw LIVE STEEL weapons!
As always the fine cooks of Calafia will provide a superb feast with music and entertainment Saturday evening with a wonderful dance in the evening. THL Illora of the West Lea will be taking feast reservations. Please send your reservation requests including each attendees name to: <contact information removed>. Feast fee is $12 per person, seating is limited, pay at gate.
On Sunday, Calafia will honor their new Baron and Baroness with a “Pas” style deed of arms/tournament: The Pas d’Nouveau. The theme of the day’s fighting will be “try something new.” Combat styles will include spear, pole axe, sword and buckler, single sword, and single-handed non-sword weapon (axe, mace, hammer, etc.). Emphasis of the day will be on grace, style and chivalry, so shine your armor and prepare your most eloquent challenge. Graciously hosted by Duke Guillaume de la Belgique.
Site opens at 9:00am Saturday and closes at 4:00pm Sunday. Everyone must be OFF SITE BY 6PM.
