Often times you will seen the name of the [[Caid|Kingdom of Caid]] in all capitals such as "CAID". This is generally in reference to the fact that the kingdom name is an acronym for the four founding baronies of Caid. It is also an Arabic word meaning "fortress".

While the roots of the name of the Kingdom are found in the first letters of the Baronies, it has become common usage not to capitalize the whole Kingdom name. The proper spelling for the Kingdom is "Caid".
