Miscellany

Met her future husband, and father of her children, James the Inconstant, at Heatherwyne Inception Tourney. She was Mistress of Lists for Heatherwyne and they had not yet met because he was working swing shift mundanely and had not been at the Shire Meetings that she attended.

Her children are Elizabeth the Headstrong and Gerrit d'Orleans.

Memories

From James the Inconstant

My lovely, gracious, hardworking Lady Wife, being a founding member of the Shire of Heatherwyne of the Kingdom of Caid, long time Mistress of Lists for said Shire, and all around enthusiastic worker and subject of the Crown, was long overdue an Award of Arms. Being well known to their Majesties Martin and Neptha, amongst sundry others, and having many recommendations praising her contributions to the realm addressed to the Thrones, one would think this a situation due to be soon remedied.

Alas, it seemed that His Most Gracious Majesty didn’t seem to know who this Amanda person was, nor why she deserved an AA. Finally, after much counsel and advice he acquiesced and the Promissory Note was prepared. The Award was announced at court and Amanda was called forth from her labors to appear before the King and Queen. As she appeared at the back of the populace and began her approach to the throne, His Majesty bolted up from his Throne, extended his arm stiffly and pointed at Amanda and cried at the top of his lungs – “WHO? HER?” – causing her to blush most alarmingly. It also resulted in Her Majesty planting her elbow forcefully into His Majesties side.

It seems His Majesty knew Amanda only as Jan, her mundane name, and assumed she had long ago received an AoA.

And that’s the way it was, the 9th day of August in the year XV Anno Societatis.

There WAS just a teansy mistake on the scroll. Her AA was from Caidan Crowns Martin and Neptha, not Western Crowns William and Donna.
