Highlights
From the Crown Prints
The Barony of Altavia invites one and all to come together to celebrate "Winter--Past, Present, and Future."
Yule will be the last presentation and award court of Baron Duryn the Red and Baroness Ælfwyn Wodende, as Master Laertes Blackavar McBride (Laertes McBride) and THL Bridget Lucia MacKenzie will be invested as Altavia's fourth Baron and Baroness at 12th Night. Please join us as we celebrate Their Excellencies' 10 years of service to the Barony!
Our celebration will include dancing and bardic performances, a table decorating contest, a costume contest (best dress and best tunic), and a story telling activity (with a twist).
In honor of Duryn the Red and Ælfwyn Wodende, the Chronicler asks for photos and memories of the B&B for possible publication in Altavia's Fret Knot. There will be prizes!
We're also collecting for Toys for Tots, so please bring a new unwrapped toy to help brighten a child's holidays.
Dinner will be Altavia's traditional potluck--bring your favorite holiday food. Be sure to include an ingredient list for those with food allergies. Please contact the Event Steward to coordinate your potluck contribution. Last name starts with--Potluck dish suggestion:
- A-E Side Dish
- F-J Dessert
- K-P Main Dish
- Q-Z Salads or Breads
Schedule for the Event:
- 1:00 pm Site opens for decoration
- 3:00 pm Table decorating contest begins
- 4:30 pm Dinner starts - Court will be held after dinner - Dancing follows court
- 11:00 pm Site closes
