Event description:

Altavia's Agincourt Anniversary Sunday October 28, 2012 The Battle of Agincourt was a decisive victory for the English during the Hundred Years War. The French were sure their superior numbers and the crossbow would bring a swift victory to France. The outnumbered Englishmen with their longbows proved them wrong. C'est la vie!

Memories

From Nikolaos Phaistios

I have the pleasure of announcing the winner of Altavia's Agincourt….Cristof Castillani defeated Maud of the Well from 45 yards to take the title. It was a rather warm day and there were almost 30 competitors. Everyone shot admirably and honorably. Congratulations to everyone who came out to shoot.

Our Youth Champion. Although the field was narrow, he shot as well as some of the adults: Nikoli Stagghorn is our youth Champion!!! Congratulations to Nikoli!!!!!

We also had a Halloween inspired novelty shoot. The archers defeated horrible creatures like bats, spiders, black flowers of death, scary jack-o-lanterns and even a haunted tomb stone. Fun was had by all!

Winners for the Novelty: |Novice/unranked: Robert Mac Farland 30pts. |Bowman: Cecilia Medici 21 pts. |Yeoman: Winifred of Heatherwyne 40pts. |Forester and overall winner: Robin Greenwood 53pts. |Bowmaster: John of Sudwell 28pts.

I'd like to thank all the people who helped put this competition on: Lynette, Cecilia, Cristof, James Everglad, Reign, Robert Lanternsmith, Robin Greenwood, Tezar on lists, Eric on gate, Lium and Fara for helping with the excellencies and all others whom I forgot to mention. It was a GREAT DAY!!!!
